Nora Marzouqa is a sophomore from Bethlehem, Palestine at Harvard college. She is a joint degree candidate in Neurobiology and History of science with a secondary in Global health and health policy in the pre-med track.
Throughout high school and college Nora developed a passion for debate both in Arabic and English as she has participated in multiple international debate and Model UN tournaments representing Palestine and Harvard. Notably Nora was captain of the Harvard debate team that won the First American Arabic Debate Championship. She additionally represents Harvard at the Qatar Debate Elite Academy.
In college Nora’s involvement extended beyond debate. She has been involved in the society of Arab students, the Woodbridge international society, performed in the freshman musical and is a walk on to Harvard’s varsity Radcliff crew team.
She maintains her contribution to her hometown, Bethlehem, and neighboring Palestinian cities like Jerusalem by leading debate and college preparation workshops during the holidays and follows up during the year.
