Karine is a Lebanese-American who was born and raised in Boston but has the privilege of going back home every summer. She is a Senior at Suffolk University in Downtown Boston double majoring in Government and Law as part of the CAS Honors Program. She is currently Suffolk’s first Arab Student Government Association President and has been serving her student body for two terms. Karine has been a loyal volunteer with ACH’s HAAA Refugee Fundraiser for the last four years where she has represented Unite Lebanon Youth Project (ULYP). ACH was where she discovered her passion for refugee work and giving back. She has worked with numerous NGO’s throughout Lebanon including the UNHCR (Tripoli Base), Salam LADC, and Ajialouna. After gaining enough experience, Karine decided to launch her own initiative called #GiveBack which serves as an opportunity for people to participate in providing to low income communities in Tripoli, Lebanon. Aside from SGA, ACH, and refugee work— Karine currently interns at a U.S. Senator’s Boston office!
