Karine is a Lebanese-American who was born and raised in Boston but has the privilege of going back home every summer. She is a Junior at Suffolk University in Downtown Boston majoring in Government with a concentration in Public Policy and Law while pursuing a paralegal certificate in the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. She is currently Suffolk’s first Arab Student Government Association President and has been serving her student body since May. Karine has been a loyal volunteer with ACH’s HAAA Refugee Fundraiser for the last three years where she has represented Unite Lebanon Youth Project (ULYP). ACH was where she discovered her passion for refugee work and giving back. She has worked with numerous NGO’s throughout Lebanon including the UNHCR (Tripoli Base), Salam LADC, and Ajialouna. After gaining enough experience, Karine decided to do a full fundraiser and distribution of food boxes conducted on her own with the help of volunteers for the Tripoli, Lebanon region. Aside from SGA, ACH, and refugee work— Karine is currently a Citizen Diplomacy intern at WorldBoston.
