Jessica Azar is a journalist with over 10 years of experience. Jessica is passionate about politics, current affairs, and women empowerment. Starting at a young age, Jessica served as the Minister of Youth in the Youth Shadow Government in 2007 and 2008. She worked at MTV Lebanon as a News Reporter and a Senior News Anchor for over 9 years. In May 2018, Jessica ran for a seat in the Lebanese Parliamentary Elections in what proved to be one of the most difficult areas in Lebanon, standing up to the biggest names in Lebanese politics. Jessica was one of the most prominent and talked-about figures of the 2018 Lebanese parliamentary elections.
Jessica works with different associations and organizations to encourage young people and women across Lebanon and the Middle East , to trust themselves and to raise their voice.
Jessica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Notre Dame University in Lebanon and is currently studying International Relations at Harvard University.
