More about Dr. Bushra K Ali

Panel Chair

Bushra is a medical doctor and an alumna of the University of Jordan School of Medicine. She is the founder of Book Club No. 96, the first reading and dialogue club of its kind in Jordan.
After graduation, Bushra worked as a general practitioner and health educator with international NGOs serving the Syrian Refugees and underprivileged communities.
She is currently working at the Spaulding Neuromodulation Center, Harvard Medical School as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow.
Bushra is interested in pediatrics and global health, particularly the effect of adverse life events on children’s physical and mental health. She is also very interested in clinical and translational research and the transformation of biomedical research and medical education in the Arab World.
In her free time, Bushra enjoys reading, Dabke dancing, gardening, and writing.
