Wan Li Zhu is an active investor in top university innovation ecosystems. He is a founder of MIT Alumni Angels, MIT’s official alumni-based startup investment network with over 700 investor members who have supported over 80 MIT-affiliated startups, and a founder of the Harvard Founder Network, a new community of high potential Harvard-affiliated startup founders. Wan Li has also been an early stage technology venture capital investor with Fairhaven Capital based in Boston which has managed over $400M. His recent investments have focused on AI-based expertise automation and marketplace platforms. Prior to Fairhaven, Wan Li ran product development and technical marketing organizations at Microsoft Dynamics CRM, which became the fastest growing business in the company’s history and the first to launch a SaaS offering. Wan Li has also spent time at Google in online advertising, at Morgan Stanley in technology investment banking, and at Merrill Lynch in IT. Wan Li serves as Chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge and Executive Chairman of the New England Venture Network. Wan Li holds an MBA from Harvard, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
