Rand Salman is a specialized doctor in Community Medicine with a subspecialty in Epidemiology. She is currently the Director of the Palestinian National Institute of Public Health (PNIPH), one of the World Health Organization projects in Palestine. She has been playing a substantial role in designing and implementing several public health projects and programs funded by USAID, UN agencies and international NGOs to advance the health care system in Palestine.
Her experience encompasses project management and implementation of activities relevant to different technical areas including clinical and community-based services. She has been highly involved in implementing several crosscutting modules such as policy, advocacy, capacity building, sustainability, quality assurance, and monitoring and evaluation. She has conducted extensive research; designing quality result-oriented monitoring and evaluation systems that track progress towards achieving the project objectives and outcomes.
