Co-Founder and Executive Director, Yazda

Murad Ismael is a co-founder and Executive Director of Yazda, a US-based, global Yazidi humanitarian and advocacy organization, operating out of US with two centers in Dohuk, Iraq where services are provided to Yazidi genocide victims, especially to women who managed to escape captivity. Yazda runs ten humanitarian and advocacy programs, including; one clinic and one mobile clinic where free medical services to more than 250 patients a day in Dohuk and Sinjar; the women trauma program which served more than 900 women victims, a genocide decumentation team, aid distribution program where distributions of more than quarter million dollars over the past two year have been achieved.

Murad graduated from University of Dohuk and civil engineer, since 2009, he completed two masters, one in civil engineer and one in Geophysics in the United States.

Murad have written or been quoted in many articles for international media outlets, spoke to national newspapers frequently reporting on the Yazidi cause.
