Khalil is a PhD Candidate in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology division, and MENA regional director for MIT Hacking Medicine, an initiative dedicated to teaching healthcare entrepreneurship and creating novel solutions to pressing healthcare problems. Hacking Medicine events have spawned 40+ companies raising $150M+ in funding. Khalil will leverage this experience to discuss the characteristics of successful innovations in healthcare and essential building blocks of an empowering ecosystem. He will focus on the state of health in the MENA region, and show how a diversity of resources and perspectives are vital to addressing the region’s ever-changing health challenges.
