Ibrahim Al-Assil is a Middle East analyst. He is a non-resident fellow at the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C. and at the Orient Research Center in Dubai. He is the managing partner of Insight Advisory Group, a consulting firm that advises policymakers in both the Middle East and the US about relevant political and economic decisions. In his research, Al-Assil focuses on the Syrian conflict with an emphasis on different aspects of security, civil society, governance, and political economy. He is a founding member and former president of the Syrian Nonviolence Movement between 2012 and 2016. He holds MBA from the University of Essex, and working on Mid Career-MPA at Harvard Kennedy School this year.
