Founding director of The Institute for Critical Thought

Abdullah M. Awad is the founding director of The Institute for Critical Thought, where he convenes seminars in the humanities and social sciences, and a fellow at Harvard University, where his research traces the history of public philosophy. He has undertaken ethnographic research in Cairo, São Paulo, and Manhattan, and lectured internationally on pedagogy and politics. Currently an executive board member of Change, he was a Herchel Smith Fellow at the University of Cambridge.
