Farid Lahoud is the Group Corporate Secretary of Bank Audi.
In this capacity, his mission is to develop, implement and maintain a high-quality Corporate Governance framework for the Bank and the Group. He was appointed Group Corporate Secretary in 2006 and held a primary responsibility in the establishment and implementation of the Bank’s 18-months Corporate Governance Enhancement Program, adopted by the Board of Directors in 2006 and completed in 2007.
Prior to his appointment as Group Corporate Secretary, he headed the Structured Finance department of Audi Investment Bank s.a.l. where he was responsible for all Structured Finance and Project Finance activities of Bank Audi Group. He joined Bank Audi in November 1991, moving from Gerrard and National, a leading London-based discount house. Throughout his career, he played a senior role in the origination and structuring of debt programs, bank capital instruments, hybrid equity issuance and asset-backed securities programs.
Farid Lahoud is a member of the Board of Directors (and member of the Audit Committee and of the Remuneration Committee) of Audi Investment Bank s.a.l., an investment banking subsidiary of Bank Audi. He has also served, from 2013 until 2016, as member (Chair from 2014 until 2016) of the Independent Expert Oversight Advisory Committee of the World Health Organization, the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the American University of Beirut and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the City University of London.
