Dr. Soundouss Bouhia is a Senior Strategic Advisor at the Royal Cabinet of the Kingdom of Morocco, part of the board of Ithmar Capital (Morocco’s Sovereign Wealth Fund) and Global Nexus (an advisory firm in sustainable businesses).
She accumulated a strong professional experience in strategy, investments, economics, environmental technology and risk management. She has been teaching in parallel in academic institutions and universities, for the past 17 years, first at Harvard University then in Morocco. Soundouss was an advisor to the Minister of Industry and Investments, in charge of the implementation of strategic policies to stimulate foreign direct investments. Prior to this role, she has served as a Senior Consultant at Mckinsey&Co developing strategic national projects in both the public and private sectors. She moved back to Morocco in 2004 and joined Citibank Maghreb as the Corporate Bank Head. After fulfilling the requirements for an Engineering Diploma from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, Soundouss received a Master of Science and a Ph.D. From Harvard University in Financial Engineering and Operations Research. The title of her dissertation is “A risk approach to scheduling and ordering production in manufacturing systems: Real options on production capacity”.
